My Review

No Exit is one nail-biter of a thriller, Taylor Adams has a written a superbly intense read which will leave you wanting more.

Darby Thorne is a student returning home for Christmas due to her mothers illness. Darby becomes stranded due to heavy snowstorms taking refuge at a rest stop where she finds herself not alone, four strangers keep her company. Whilst out looking for cell reception the most unimaginable event occurs, Darby discovers a small girl trapped in a van with no means of escape. Did she imagine it, was her mind playing tricks?

Who does she trust? No help for miles, can Darby rescue the little girl?

The characters in No Exit have been portrayed with a vivid realism from Taylor. I could sense the different characteristics and the emotions of each individual as if I was there with them, trapped in that desolate, snowbound rest stop. Trudging through the snow, the flakes whipping off my face, the chill in my fingers and toes, I am there with Darby.

No Exit is a very engaging book certainly not easy to put down, I even took my kindle to work just so I could read it between my clients.

Thank you Taylor for allowing the darkness of No Exit to seep through my veins and send shivers down my spine, an amazingly tense read.

Taylor Adams directed the acclaimed short film And I Feel Fine in 2008 and graduated from Eastern Washington University with the Excellence in Screenwriting Award and the prestigious Edmund G. Yarwood Award. His work has been selected by the Seattle True Independent Film Festival and his movie reviews have appeared  KAYU-TV’s Fox Life Blog. He has worked in the film/television industry for several years and lives in Washington State with his girlfriend Jaclyn and there Chihuahua, Cat and Python. EYESHOT  is Adams’ debut novel.
